You can’t trust the god of Abraham to answer questions about geology and astronomy. This is especially true with whether or not the earth will last forever. He just can’t seem to make up his mind. First, in Deuteronomy, he insists that the earth will last forever. But then in Psalm he changes course, insisting that it will one day perish (and as an added bonus, heaven will perish too!). There may well be hope for Marvin the Martian yet!
