Contradictions in Islam

Islam, much like Christianity and the Torah, is not immune from contradicting itself. Below is a list of several authoritative verses in the Quran and the hadith that are contradictory. This list, much like my list of bible contradictions, is ever-growing.

Quran Contradictions

  1. What did Allah use to create man?
  2. Does everyone obey Allah?
  3. Could Allah have a son?
  4. Is alcohol ok?
  5. Is slavery ok?
  6. What should we do with non-believers?
  7. How long did it take Allah to create the heavens and the earth?
  8. Will Christians and Jews go to hell?
  9. Did Allah Create the Heavens or the Earth First?

Contradictions in the hadith

  1. Evil omens?
  2. Selling gold for silver?
  3. Ablution?

  1. Muslim says:

You really need to focus on Quranic verses , brother , you have just shut your mind and that is the reason you are seeing contradictions in simple and straight verses

  2. Pothan Prasad says:

Brother you don’t want to know about god and don’t wanna do what god said. So,you became atheist or you just blindly following the words of rumours that science says that god doesn’t exist but Islam can prove that god does exist. There are many atheists converted to Islam.
    For EX:

    Alexis Carrel
    Lee Strobel
    Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
    Vladimir Putin
    Czesław Miłosz

      obviously this is a joke–right !?

    • Argus says:

Wow~! Putin is an Islamist? I never knew …

Can you illustrate Solzhenitsyn being Islamic? Wikipedia (my own omniscient) doesn’t mention that—but it did say that he was Russian Orthodox.

(I haven’t looked at any of the others ‘cos I know you Muslims aren’t allowed to tell porkies … so of course, you wouldn’t.)

Bugger … this is taking too long … but Wiki also says this about Vladimir Putin:

” … Putin’s mother was a devoted Christian believer who attended the Russian Orthodox Church, and his father was an atheist.[395][396] Though his mother kept no icons at home, she attended church regularly, despite government persecution of her religion at that time. His mother secretly baptized him as a baby, and she regularly took him to services.[30]

According to Putin, his religious awakening began after a serious car crash involving his wife in 1993, and a life-threatening fire that burned down their dacha in August 1996.[396] Shortly before an official visit to Israel, Putin’s mother gave him his baptismal cross, telling him to get it blessed. Putin states, “I did as she said and then put the cross around my neck. I have never taken it off since.”[30] When asked in 2007 whether he believes in God, he responded, “…There are things I believe, which should not in my position, at least, be shared with the public at large for everybody’s consumption because that would look like self-advertising or a political striptease.”[397] Putin’s rumoured confessor is Russian Orthodox Bishop Tikhon Shevkunov.[398]
