Does porn cause brain damage? Christian neurosurgeon fails at science

Everyone who knows me knows I’m a stickler for intellectual honesty. So when I came across this news article from a Christian news group, Today Christian, that claims, “A research study published in the latest Journal of American Medical Association: Psychiatry concludes that the more pornography a person watches, the less gray matter, connectivity and activity they have in their brain” (emphasis mine), I went ballistic. Usually I’d write a long diatribe and post it here, but so dishonest was their reporting that I decided it warranted a Youtube video instead. Enjoy!

About Rayan Zehn

I believe that was very spot on, Mr Zehn. But I think that since we have many conservative Christians in the government that are in control of the standards of our science department, and the media, is eventually leading us down a path to an earlier time. Because they want full control of the masses, everywhere.

And I’m willing to die if they try and shove that horseshit down my throat.

It’s not going to happen, as I’d fright them with every fiber of my being.

Just to clarify, this was a German study. But also many (although by no means all) academic studies are done by tenured professors in a university setting. Full tenured professors usually have academic freedom to study anything they see fit using tax dollars, without control or censorship from the government or their academic peers. It’s my understanding that scientists open the door to allow social change, despite social norms. But I get your point. In this case a Christian scientist tried to lie to push the religious anti-porn movement and got caught!

It is my understanding also about academic studies, we’re on the same level, so no worries there. And I do appreciate that response btw. Thanks

        Oh, one more thing.
It is my understanding too that we are getting more and more creationist bs taught in our public schools as if it were literal truth. I know this because I’ve seen it. The books are coming from Texas, so that’s not looking good for any sense responsibility for the children to have a good ability to think on their own. Since they want children to believe in the magic of their great cloud imposter,, is it then any wonder that our system is failing?
